2. Personal information we collect
Identifiers: name, phone number, and email when you contact us; IP address and device identifiers when you browse. Commercial information: vehicles you view or inquire about, purchase history. Internet activity: pages visited, time on site, and interactions, collected via cookies and similar technologies. If you apply for financing or complete a purchase, we collect the additional information required for that transaction (such as address, date of birth, and government ID), handled under separate contract disclosures and, for credit applications, the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.
3. Why we collect it
To respond when you call, text, or email us about a vehicle; to complete purchases, titling, and registration; to comply with legal obligations (tax, DMV, and record-keeping rules); to measure and improve the website; and — only with your consent settings — to run and measure advertising.
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies (session, language, your preference choices), analytics cookies (Google Analytics), and — if enabled — advertising cookies and pixels (Google Ads, Meta Pixel) and partner-referral tracking. Details and controls are on the Cookies page. Advertising cookies that share your activity with ad platforms count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CPRA — you can opt out at any time.
5. Selling and sharing of personal information
We do not sell personal information for money. Like most websites that use advertising tools, we may "share" internet activity data with advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by the CPRA. You can opt out of this sharing through the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
6. Who else receives data
Service providers under contract: website and database hosting (Vercel, Supabase), analytics (Google), and communication tools that route your calls, texts, and emails to us. Advertising platforms (Google, Meta) receive data only per your cookie choices. Carfax receives a vehicle's VIN — never your personal data. Government agencies (DMV, tax authorities) receive what the law requires for vehicle transactions. Lenders receive your application data only when you apply for financing.
7. How long we keep information
Website analytics: up to 26 months. Inquiry records (calls, texts, emails): up to 3 years from last contact. Transaction and contract records: as required by California DMV and tax law (typically 7–10 years). Advertising cookies: up to 13 months. We keep each category no longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes disclosed.
8. Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident you have the right to: know what personal information we collect, use, and share; access a copy of it; correct inaccurate information; delete it (with legal exceptions, e.g., records we must keep for DMV or tax law); opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
9. How to exercise your rights
Email us at sales@elitemotortransport.com, call us, or use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days (extendable by another 45 with notice). We verify requests using information we already hold; you may use an authorized agent, and we never require account creation to process a request.
10. Automated decisions and profiling
We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you. Financing decisions are made by lenders under their own regulatory obligations, not by this website.
11. Minors
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Other state privacy laws
If you reside in another state with a comprehensive privacy law (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or Texas), you may have similar rights of access, correction, deletion, and opt-out of targeted advertising. You can exercise them through the same contact channels listed above.
13. Changes to this notice
We review this notice at least once every 12 months as the CCPA requires. Material changes are posted on this page with an updated date; significant changes are highlighted on the homepage.
